The Peel Region Rabbit Club (PRRC) was established in 2016 in response to the increasing interest in rabbit ownership in the Southern Corridor of Western Australia. The club operates as a non for profit and is affiliated with the Australian National Rabbit Council Inc.
Joining the club is a great way to meet local minded rabbit enthusiasts. We welcome all types of members, including show breeders and exhibitors, pet owners and agility (show jumping) trainers. During the year the club hosts a variety of different club events including rabbit displays, exhibition shows and pet information days. These events give pet owners the opportunity to show their rabbits in pet classes and fancy dress class, agility enthusiasts the opportunity to show their rabbits jumping and breeders to exhibit their rabbits in a variety of different classes. Show day allows all members the opportunity to have their rabbits judged by accredited local, national or even internationally accredited judges. Rabbits will be judged to the British Rabbit Council and Australian National Rabbit Council Standards (ANRCI). PRRC has an emphasis on novice classes to help new exhibitors to learn about the different breeds, standards and the language used to describe a rabbit in a non – competitive and informative way. New exhibitors can learn how to steward, (which is how you handle and pose your rabbit) to a rabbits best potential at a show. Membership provides access to the members only Facebook group where you can ask other members questions you may have regarding the feeding, breeding, vaccinations or any other query about your rabbit’s health and safety. |
