Welcome to Northern NSW Rabbit Club
Based in Lismore NSW, our members come from Tweed Heads and Mullumbimby down to Grafton and Coffs Harbour. We started as a club promoting Rabbit Hopping/Jumping based on competitions in Denmark, Sweden and UK, and our Companion Rabbits (House Rabbits, Pets) that love to attend hopping and our Pet Shows and outings. We have leash free Rabbit Agility, based on Agility events in Canada, this is leash free and all rabbits can participate even larger breeds. Socially we regularly depending on weather have had rabbit cross country fun events and outings for both owners and bunnies.
With support and affiliation with the Australian National Rabbit Council Inc. since conception, we now have All Breed Shows, (where judges come from Sydney or interstate to judge and evaluate our rabbits.)
We now have members that specialise in promoting sustainable farming and the versatility of large breed rabbits for fibre and meat. We also have members that are passionate about the rare breeds of rabbits in Australia. We have a rabbit club that respects the diversity of the domestic rabbit. So we are truly “A Club for Everybunny.”
We continually strive to promote responsible pet ownership, care and husbandry and aim to improve the breeds we have in our area and to educate the public that a rabbit is often a ten year commitment. This is achieved by all members regularly helping at community events and demonstrating our hopping and petting rabbits and displays of our different breeds, we also have health and show preparation days at local pet shops and fetes, market days.
