What an event Extravaganza number 2 was being the hosted by Rabbit Breeders Association of Tasmania Inc, a spectacular venue at the Hobart Showgrounds the hall was huge but magnificently presented by the committee and members. A huge big Thank you must go out to the hard working members who did all the hands on work over the weekend .The canteen stood out as one that we would all happily take home to our own clubs .The seven smaller shows where all very well coordinated to all run smoothly together, a big thank you to all our judges Allan Harvey, Debbie Pulford, Jo Gunn ,Jenny Buckingham, John Porritt,Alicia Balzain on a fantastic job.
The Main 5* Star Show was judged by David Gallagher (UK) a big thank you to David for judging the National Extravaganza for 2015 with the BIS going to Allan Harvey with All Ears Wombat. Allan presented his Castor Rex to a high standard and in top condition which showed.
Runner up BIS went to Giselle Pfitzner with Summit Chloe a Siamese Sable.
I made the comment twelve months earlier that to make the final lineup here you would need to to improve on all aspects of showing that included the winner and I was very proud to see that this year that this advice had been accepted.
And we where treated to some excellent stock and the final lineup was a testament to the standard of the Australian fancy that behind these winners was a very high standard of rabbits that in some classes only just missed going to the next challenge level, everyone was a winner that attended over the weekend because we where all treated to lots of information from our excellent array of judges and exhibitors. It is why we do what we do because the next show it could be you so plan your mating's work out your dates and you could be the one up there on the big stage it is a great feeling just ask Allan Harvey as he has back to back wins.
